Many of my students also speak Spanish and one of the most common mistakes is when they try to speak something in Portuguese but end up speaking in Spanish. This is normal to happen because the two languages are very similar.
Some words are even the same. They seem to be our friends… but in fact they’re not! They are false friends!!! LOL
“False friends” are similar words in two languages but with different meanings. In this article we will learn some false friends between Portuguese and Spanish.
To facilitate our studies, I preferred to write the word in English and translate it into Portuguese and Spanish.

Eu tenho muitos alunos que também falam espanhol e um dos erros mais comuns é quando eles tentam falar alguma coisa em português mas acabam falando em espanhol. Isso é normal de acontecer porque os dois idiomas são muito parecidos.
Algumas palavras inclusive são iguais. Parecem ser nossas amigas… mas na verdade não são! São amigas falsas!!! Kkkk
